Confrontations Europe was established in Paris in 1992. It is chaired by Philippe Herzog, a former member of the European Parliament. Confrontations Europe is a lobbying group involving people with a wide range of views and with many different background, including executives, unionists, elected representatives, intellectuals, members of non-profit making organisations as well as politicians. It aims at providing the French public with information, putting people in contact with networks in other Member States, in order to lead actions for social change, the purpose being to make Europe a stronger and more united social force in the world.
